Location Inspiration - BALBOA PARK

No list of amazing San Diego photoshoot locations would be complete without Balboa Park! Yes, the hallway of arches and the pond are gorgeous, but let’s not forget the beautiful tree roots, murals, colorful tiles, and the botanical gardens.

Why I love it:

The variety - beautiful architecture, both neutral and bright colored backgrounds, and nature all in one location!

Best time to shoot:

Really, anytime is great since this location has such a huge variety of places to work with, but the big fountain and the colorful tiles are best at golden hour. 

Things to keep in mind:

This location is far more than just a beautiful place to shoot photos - museums, restaurants, events, tours and shopping all happen here as well. With that being said, this space is heavily populated at most times. Weekdays are less crowded that weekend, except in the summer, then all bets are off! So if you decide to shoot here, just keep in mind that you will have to be patient and courteous of the many other guests who will be enjoying this space as well.
